Sighnaghi is a small town in the eastern part of Georgia. Located in Kakheti region, Sighnaghi is well known tourist attraction because of its cobbled streets, pastel color roofs, second largest wall after great wall of China, and, amazing views. Sighnaghi or Signaghi is also called City of Love.
How to reach
Sighnaghi is about 2 hours driving from Tbilisi. Although public transport is a cheaper option, we recommend to arrange a day trip with a private tour guide from Tbilisi to Sighnaghi instead of public transport. Expect to pay between US$ 80-100 depending on Guide’s experience and his/her car’s condition. Also ensure that your guide can speak good English.
What to do in Sighnaghi
Buy Handicrafts and local sweets – Old women from the town will be selling woven socks, caps and pouches. You can buy these as souvenirs from your trip. Also you can find street vendors selling sweets, fruits, vegetables as well as bigger and proper shops selling more consumer oriented souvenirs.

Walk on Sighnaghi Fortress Wall – Sighnaghi has the second largest wall in the world built around the city to protect it from hostile intruders. A walk on the wall provides great views of surrounding Caucasus region.

Roam around in old streets – Sighnaghi is such a beautiful town that one would want to just get lost in the beautiful rustic streets of Sighnaghi
